Frequently Asked Questions

1. Which ailments might Z-CoiL® Footwear alleviate?

  • Arthritis & Joint Pain
  • Back Pain & Sciatica - immediate and long-term relief
  • Foot Pain (Heel Spurs, Plantar Fasciitis, & Forefoot Pain)

2. Are Z-CoiL® shoes stable?

Yes, Z-CoiL® shoes are exceptionally stable and are often more stable on uneven surfaces than normal shoes. The flexible spring can absorb deviations on uneven surfaces without forcing the ankle to turn.

3. Can I run in Z-CoiL® shoes?

Yes! Runners love Z-CoiL® Footwear because they dramatically cut the shock incurred with each stride (impact = 3 times the body weight)

4. Will rocks and debris get caught in the open coil?

Occasionally rocks and debris could get caught in the coil. Remember, if something is small enough to get in; it is small enough to get out.

5. Will I have to get used to my Z-CoiL® shoes?

It can take anywhere from five minutes to a few hours for most people to adjust to the tremendous cushioning and overall "softness" Z-CoiL® shoes provide. Many customers complain that after wearing Z-CoiL® shoes, their ordinary shoes feel flat and unsupportive.

6. Do the coils ever wear out?

The coils are not likely to wear out or break. Over time however, the rubber heel pad underneath the coils may wear, depending on your use. In that case, we recommend replacing both heels.

7. Are Z-CoiL® shoes safe?

Wear your Z-CoiL® shoes only in areas, including work areas, which are free of cables, cords, protruding objects, and objects that could catch the spring. In the event you are in an area with such objects, we urge you to take caution and watch your step. Use common sense when you wear your Z-CoiL® shoes.
